Meet: Sinful Colors Irish Green

Who knew French and Irish would go so well together =P

I have another Minty Pastel green for you guys! I picked up Irish Green from Sinful Colors, and thought it would look great with some white in it! So this is how it turned out! By the way, I'm not sure if I will ever try to wear Irish green by itself.. it's just not something I like, at least not at the moment, but who knows what will happen.. Anyway, I got so many complements on this minty green color, it sure stands out when you have it on your nails! I would be sporting this more often this summer!

Meet: 10 Professonal Nail Lacquer MoonLight

I love wearing nudes. When my nails gets long, this is the time I like to pull out all my nude colors and see which one gets picked. Most nude polishes that I have are sheer, and needs 5 coats to be completely opaque, but NOT this one! This is one of my favorite, and its probably the cheapest out of all my nudes. Funny how things works sometimes. I only have a couple of polishes by this brand, and I wish I grabbed more when they were still on sale. The formula for these polishes are all very nice. This one was especially creamy, and went on very smooth. The only thing that I have with these is the long stem of the brush, and if I don't wipe the excess polishes off, it will drip when I paint my nails. So be sure to wipe off the excess polish on the long stem when using this!

Trendy Tuesday: Neon Green!!

Summer time just screams for Neon!!! Mint Neon is also something I have been loving. Instead of going out to find the perfect color that I wanted, I mixed my own. I used Sally Hansen "Sea Breeze" + Sinful Colors "Neon Melon" and Wet n wild "French White". I mixed them in a small water bottle cap until I got the desired color and painted my nails with it! easy peasy!

Meet: Sinful Colors Savage

Such a cute color! This is such a fun color to wear during summer time! It goes on matte, which I did not expect it to since it's not really a neon color, but that's no problem! the formula on this is awesome, one coat will do the job just fine. With a layer or two of top coat. this thing becomes super shiny! Bought these sinful colors several weeks back at walgreen's during their 99cents sale, and it is definitely worth every penny!

Meet: Sinful Colors Mint Apple

This is Sinful Colors Mint Apple. I bought this color when it was really popular on the interwebs. I've seen swatches on several different blogs and thought I really liked the color. After using it the first time, I hated it! I'm not sure why, but I never wore it again after that until now. Since I'm on a teal kick I decide to give this another try. I have to say I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either. I do like the subtle shimmers in this that makes it different from all the other green/teal colors that I have, but I think it's just too dark for my taste. Maybe if it is a little lighter, I might like it better.

The formula on this was actually really good. It would have worked with only 2 coats, but I like to apply my polishes with thin coats, so I used 3 just to be safe.

These swatches were taking with artificial lighting. I had a busy day and forgot to take pictures, and since I got a little razor nick on my middle nail, and being the OCD that I am about my nails, I wanted to change polishes. So I just took some pictures with my make up mirror lighting. So I would say these are not that color accurate. In person it's a bit darker and greener.

Trendy Tuesday: Wing Tip Shoes

I was flipping through my magazine and saw a bag inspired by wingtip shoes that I just loved! I thought this was perfect inspiration for a "wing tip" manicure! This trend has been around for a while now, and wingtip has always been a classic for men's footwear, but recently we have seen a lot of wing tip shoes for women as well.

Here is my take on this trend on my nails. I used Orly Dress in White for the base, and drew the tip with OPI Siberian Nights. I didn't want to do the classic black and white so I opted for the dark purple.

Meet: OPI Black Cherry Chutney

OPI Black Cherry Chutney is a perfect name for this polish. It is a deep red with subtle shimmers that reflect lots of light. I loved the formula for this color, and it would have worked with just one coat. I am a sucker for dark vampy polishes, so even though I usually lean towards more matte polishes, I still really like this one since the shimmers in there are so subtle.

Meet: Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz

Purple Pizzazz is a purple glitter jelly polish. In the pictures, it looks more translucent than real life. It is a little hard to photograph this color but I think the second picture is pretty close to what the naked eye sees. The glitters in the polish is very fine which I really liked, and it wasn't hard to remove either which is a big plus in my book. I do really like the jelly effect, but I think it only shows up in pictures when using at least 2 coats of polish. This is a great layering polish as well, I want to try layering over white and see what kind of effect it gives sometimes.

Trendy Tuesday: Coral and Mint

This is the first Trendy Tuesday post. Each week I will dedicate a post on whats on trend right now, and what inspires me. This week I wanted to tackle the trend coral and Mint. I love them separately on my nails but I love them even more together. I thought these two colors worked so well together, and I am very happy with the result.

Coral and Mint
For the Coral color, I couldn't find anything in my stash that really stood out, so I mixed my using Sally Hansen "All the White Stuff", Rimmel "Sunset Orange" and Revlon "Alluring Amber". I used about 5 parts white, 2 part Sunset Orange, and 2 part Alluring Amber.

Meet: Sally Hansen Going Green

I bought this color because I thought it was so unique, and I didn't have anything like it in my collection. I didn't necessarily like it when I saw it, but I did remember seeing a girl with green polish like this and it was so pretty on her. I'm not sure if I feel the same way about this polish on me. It feels a little weird having bright green nails.

Meet: Tip Toe Ballerina

This is the IT color for me when I don't know what to wear. It's a pretty baby pink. I got this polish at Old Navy, and I thought the name was so fitting. This is the only Top Toe polish that I own. The formula was a little on the thin side, but it is very smooth. I didn't mind putting on 4 coats of this stuff to get the coverage that I wanted.

I used Color Club Covered in Diamonds on the accent nail. I love this flakie! It's chucky and super pretty. Too bad I forgot to take a bottle pic, but I'm sure I will use it again soon!

Meet: Zoya Creamy

Not sure how much I like yellow nail polishes, but wanted to use something I don't normally use. The formula on the polish was good, but wanted to do 3 coats to get rid of all bold spots since I am using yellow.

Meet: Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe

I recently purchased a set of Color Club halo glitter set, and decided to try this blue one first. I don't usually like glitters, but something about this one made me want to do a full mani with it. I doubt that I will use the other glitters as a full mani, but I love to do accent nails and nail art with them. The halo effect is gorgeous!

Meet: Revlon Tropical Temptation

This is the kind of color that I love to buy. A pretty coral with a little tiny hint of pink. I absolutely love this color. I have several similar color to this that I tend to wear a lot, so I would safely say this is my go to color.

Nail Art: Revlon Golden Charm and Sally Hansen Sea Breeze

Here I am with my Revlon polishes again! I have been wanting a gold metallic or glitter polish for a while. I had finally found a perfect one from Big Lots, I immediately picked it up. This polish is a gold metallic, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I paired it with a teal color from Sally Hansen Insta-dry. I absolutely love the formula on both of these polishes, especially from the Insta-Dry. It is a one coater, so pigmented and smooth. I should really pick up some more colors from this line, as I only have one other blue color and it applies like a dream as well.

Since my nails got longer and I love how the gold and teal look together, I decided to put them together for a cute manicure. This was very easy, all I did was apply the gold as normal, and after it dries, carefully apply the teal polish on top. no need to use fancy tape or anything, just go very slowly and follow your natural cuticle line.
